Active Projects

The categories below detail some of the City of Manhattan projects that may have a significant impact on traffic in Manhattan in the coming weeks and months. You can also sign up to receive email updates on major construction projects.

We're not the only ones making improvements across the community. Check out Kansas State University's construction update for projects around campus that may affect pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Three major maintenance projects are also scheduled at Tuttle Creek Dam that will affect traffic into and around Tuttle Creek State Park.


Traffic Impacts


  • West Anderson currently has impacts at the intersection of Anderson, Scenic and Kimball and at the entrance to Anneberg Park
  • Diverging Diamond Interchange at K-18 and K-113 has new lane restrictions on K-113 beginning June 27
  • Denison Avenue will be closed at the Claflin Road intersection for six weeks starting May 22
  • College Heights and Quivera intersection will be closed June 1 to Aug. 16 for storm sewer repairs
  • College Avenue will be closed south of Claflin for intersection work including traffic signals and turn lanes. Lane restrictions will be in place on Claflin Road.
