Citizens are invited to submit capital improvement project requests to the City of Manhattan by March 3 for consideration in the 2018-2023 Capital Improvement Program.
Each year, the city asks residents for their input on large-scale public expenditures that are expected to have a relatively long life. The improvements usually involve an investment of land, buildings, roads or other public works, which produces public services or benefits.
Past requests include park, trail and sidewalk improvements, stormwater infrastructure, and improvements to historic and city-owned facilities. The requests will be considered by the appropriate departments, advisory boards and committees. The Manhattan City Commission then will consider the requests as part of the 2018 budget process.
The deadline for citizens to submit capital improvement project requests is March 3. An online form and additional information is available at CityofMHK.com/CIP.
