Sealed bids will be received by the City of Manhattan, Kansas, at the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 1101 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas, until 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids received after said time will be returned to the bidder unopened. These bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for:

Community Development Block Grant
Douglass Center Electrical Improvements Project CD1617

Addendum No. 1

The project will include but is not limited to the following major categories of work:
Phase I – Electrical Improvements will include the replacement of the main electrical service to the Douglass Community Center, installing a new main panel and replacing secondary panels throughout, revising the electrical service to be fed from an adjacent pole, providing new outlets at exterior locations and updating exterior lighting to align with historic precedent.

TIME LIMIT: 45 Calendar days after “Notice to Proceed” is issued.

This project is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is subject to Davis-Bacon Wage Rates and Section 3 Requirements. Contractors must supply their DUNS number on the Bid Proposal and Contractor with apparent low bid must be registered in before Award of Bid.

A NON-MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017, in the King Conference Room at the Douglass Center Annex, 901 Yuma Street, Manhattan.
