Furniture Amnesty Day is an annual event that allows local residents to donate furniture they no longer need so others can select from the donated goods for free. The next event will take place on Friday, July 27, 2018 (the last Friday in July) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Event Flyer (PDF)
Volunteers will pick up furniture donations within Manhattan City limits starting at 7:00 a.m. on July 27. The deadline to sign up for this service was 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 25.
You may also drop off your donations between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. in City Park on the day of the event (July 27).
Sign Up to Pick Out New-to-You Furniture
Sign up will begin at 8:00 a.m. at City Park. You will be able to choose a time slot between 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. to pick out your furniture. No additional paperwork is needed.
Please note: Volunteers can help load furniture into vehicles but participants will need to arrange their own method of transport.

Volunteers will begin arriving with trucks to pick up all scheduled donations. All furniture needs to be ready at the curb. Volunteers will not come inside the home. Pick up will continue until 3:00 p.m.

This program is intended to provide a free way for you to dispose of unwanted furniture. If you leave it on the curb, it could be considered a nuisance by our Code Services department. Local trash companies generally will not pick up furniture on their regular routes.
