The documents below summarize the policies, processes, and procedures for applying for tax abatements and/or industrial revenue bond financing. In 2003, the City Commission passed Tax Abatement and Industrial Revenue Bond (IRB) policies. In 2021, the City Commission passed a Speculative Industrial Building Program allowing the utilization of tax abatements and IRBs for an industrial building developed and constructed without any preleasing in place, with the intended use for manufacturing, research and development, production, warehousing/storage and distribution of goods.
