A number of water line improvement projects will occur in 2017 to address capacity issues and deteriorated lines.
Grand Mere Parkway water line extension
This project will close a gap between the Grand Champions Addition and Bellerive Addition while providing a redundant transmission main between the CiCo water tower and the Northwest water tower. Approximately 1,480 feet of water line will be installed.
Sunset Lane water line improvements
This project will eliminate a dead-end water main by connecting it to lines on Delaware Avenue to improve water quality and flow, and it will replace undersized lines in the area of Sunset Lane. Approximately 1,800 feet of water line will be installed.
Wyndham Heights neighborhood water line improvements
This project will improve water system pressures for the neighborhood by installing 1,700 feet of water line.
Water Treatment Plant bulk filling station
This project will include the construction of a bulk filling station for use by contractors and other customers 24/7 at a location off of Levee Drive. Relocating this away from the Water Treatment Plant, which has secured access during evenings and weekends, will allow for better access for customers, and a payment system will be available on site for those using the filling station.
Larson Construction is the contractor on these projects.
Total construction costs for these project is $518,694 to be paid from the Water Fund.
