Hydrant and Valve Replacement

Project Description

Each year, fire hydrants and water main valves are identified for replacement if they are nearing or have exceeded their operational life or are experiencing failure. Public Works and the Manhattan Fire Department also identify areas in the water distribution system where fire hydrants may need to be replaced for improved firefighting capabilities.

Construction cost is to be paid from the Water Fund.

Hydrant and valve replacements are anticipated to occur throughout summer 2018.
