Joint Corrections Advisory Board
The
Joint Corrections Advisory Board is comprised of members representing the judiciary, law enforcement, prosecution, education, corrections, ethnic minorities, the social services and the general public. The Board makes recommendations regarding community corrections programs in Riley County. The powers and authority of the Joint Corrections Advisory Board are set forth in Kansas State Annotated 75-7044, 75-7045, and 75-5297.
The Board is made up of Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board (3-year terms, KSA 75-7044-7045) and Corrections Advisory Board (2-year terms, KS 75-5297); 12 or more members. Elections are held annually in August.
