Parking Services
The public can access parking in the Aggieville Garage 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, long-term parking is not permitted. It is unlawful to park a vehicle for more than 24 continuous hours in one spot in the Aggieville Garage.
Payment for garage parking is easily available through ParkMobile using a credit or debit card. Those without a ParkMobile app also can pay at one of the pay stations in the garage stairwells.
Even if parking for less than 2 hours, you must register your vehicle’s license plate through ParkMobile or at one of the pay stations!
The following parking management program for the Aggieville Garage is in effect:
- License Plate Registration required at each visit (must register vehicle on ParkMobile app or at Pay Station)
- First 2 hours FREE
- Sunday through Wednesday:
- $2 per hour after first 2 hours, up to a maximum of $10
- Thursday through Saturday:
- $2 per hour after first 2 hours, up to a maximum $8 Safe Driver Rate

ParkMobile Offers More Options for Contactless Payments
ParkMobile now offers multiple ways to pay for parking, making it easier than ever to skip the pay station and go contactless. Ways to pay include:
- Pay by App: The full-featured app for iOS and Android provides the most complete parking experience. You can pay for parking or make a prepaid reservation.
- Pay by Web: New lightweight mobile web experience lets you quickly pay for parking without downloading the full app.
- Pay by Text: Text “PARK” to 77223 and you will be able to quickly start a parking session.
- Google Pay: Pay with ParkMobile right in the Google Pay app. Plus, quick links from Google Maps make it easy to navigate and start a parking session.

Parking in Excess of Time
Timed parking ticket fines are $15 to deter drivers from parking in restricted time spots for longer than they should. Parking in Aggieville is enforced from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Timed parking tickets should be paid, or drivers should appear in Municipal Court, within five (5) business days. If not, the offender will be sent a letter and an administrative fee of $10 will be assessed. If a second letter needs to be sent, an additional administrative fee of $25 will be assessed. If the offender still does not appear in Municipal Court, an arrest warrant will be issued.
You can pay online, by dropping it off in the box located outside Municipal Court, in person at 610 Colorado Street, or by mail to 610 Colorado St., Manhattan, KS 66502.
Aggieville Garage Permits
To purchase an Aggieville Garage parking permit, please visit this website.
Employees who work in Aggieville can obtain permits to park in the garage at a discounted rate, either $10 per month for part-time employees (who work, on average, 30 or fewer hours per week) or $40 per month for full-time employees (who work more than 30 hours per week).
All employees are responsible for providing proof of hours employed, at each monthly renewal. (Part-time employees will be required to upload 2 of their most recent pay stubs to verify work hours.)
Reserved stalls are also available. For $100 per month, a reserved stall will be available between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For $200 per month, it will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
University faculty, staff, and student parking permits are available for $40 per month. Parking will be available for these permit holders from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday only.

Note: The City does not guarantee parking availability and reserves the right to close or restrict portions of or all parking in the garage for maintenance, promotional events, or other reasons as determined by the Parking Services Manager.
On-Street Parking Permits
If you live near the Kansas State University campus in a parking zone and want on-street parking, you will need a parking permit. Parking permits are $5 each. For an additional $5, you can obtain a guest parking pass for visitors. To purchase a permit, please visit manhattan.thepermitportal.com.
Customers will need to provide:
- A copy of their lease
- Make and model of their vehicle
- Photo ID
- Vehicle license plate number
Once approved and paid, customers can visit Parking Services at 1318 Laramie St., Suite 150 in Aggieville after 1 p.m. the following business day to pick up their sticker permit.
Fuchsia Parking Zone
The Fuchsia Parking Zones near Aggieville and City Park are being enforced actively. This zone was created to make sure area residents have enough parking spaces available during ongoing construction in Aggieville.
What does this mean for you?
- Residents, property owners, and tenants in the area can pay $5 for a Fuchsia Parking Permit. This Fuchsia Zone parking permit allows permit holders to park overnight and not be subject to a 3-hour limit in the designated Fuchsia Zone.
- The Fuchsia Zone permit does not exempt a permit holder from other restrictions, such as no parking longer than 24 hours, or exempt them from no overnight parking, other hourly limits, or other parking restrictions outside of the Fuchsia Zone.
- Please note: Central Park Road is NOT designated as a Fuchsia Zone and has a 3-hour parking limit with no overnight parking.
- To obtain a Fuchsia Zone parking permit, visit manhattan.thepermitportal.com and provide a copy of your lease or other proof of residence, photo ID, make and model of your vehicle, and vehicle license plate number. For an additional $5, residents, property owners, and tenants in the area can obtain a guest permit to accommodate visitors, but other restrictions may apply.
- As with all other parking permits, once approved and paid, customers can visit Parking Services at 1318 Laramie St., Suite 150 in Aggieville after 1 p.m. the following business day to pick up their Fuchsia sticker permit.

Limited-Time Parking Restrictions in Aggieville and City Park
Aggieville and City Park contain a number of limited-time parking areas. These can include limits on a certain number of hours, restriction on certain days, or certain ranges of hours of parking restrictions.
Areas with those limits and restrictions can be located in Manhattan City Code of Ordinances Chapter 31. The Parking Services Division is responsible for active enforcement of all timed street parking areas and parking lots, including those in Aggieville, to comply with new requirements.
Please note that this new ordinance has reduced Aggieville street parking from 3 hours to 2 hours to match the current downtown time limits. The first 2 hours will remain free in the Aggieville Garage.
Note: This 2-hour limit is on a per-block basis. If you move your vehicle within the same block but it stays on that block for more than 2 consecutive hours, it will be ticketed as if it was not moved at all.

Note: The 2-hour limit is per block face. If you move your vehicle within the same block face and it stays there for more than 2 hours per day, it will be ticketed as if it was not moved.
Downtown Parking Garage
Garage parking remains free until the City Commission implements a parking management program.
However, long-term parking is not permitted in the garage. It is unlawful to park a vehicle for more than 48 continuous hours in one spot in the Downtown Garage.
Parking in Excess of Time
Timed parking ticket fines are $15 to deter drivers from parking in restricted time spots for longer than they should. Downtown Manhattan is enforced from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Timed parking tickets should be paid, or drivers should appear in Municipal Court, within five (5) business days. If not, the offender will be sent a letter and an administrative fee of $10 will be assessed. If a second letter needs to be sent, an additional administrative fee of $25 will be assessed. Game Day Parking Restrictions
Parking restrictions and temporary parking permissions are in place for all home Kansas State University football games for areas surrounding Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The City Commission approved these parking modifications on home football game days to improve safety and allow for better emergency access.
