The Flint Hills Metropolitan Planning Organization (FHMPO) has opened the public review and comment period for the 2014-2017 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The TIP outlines all federally funded and/or regionally significant transportation projects expected to be completed in the region during the next four years.
The TIP will be open for public review and comment until Monday, August 12. You may access the TIP by clicking the link provided below. Other public participation and outreach efforts will include:
-Posting an ad in the legal notice section of both the Manhattan Mercury and Junction City Daily Union
-Making a draft of the TIP available at Manhattan City Hall, Junction City City Hall, and the Manhattan Public Library
-Posting the draft TIP on the FHMPO website
-Email the FHMPO mailing list to announce the open comment period
The draft TIP, along with the public comments received by the FHMPO, will be taken to the Technical Advisory Committee on August 7 and the Policy Board for approval on August 21.
