Residents visiting Manhattan’s Municipal Court, 610 Colorado St., over the next few months will see changes to the entrance and security as part of a security improvement project.
Beginning June 26, those visiting the court will need to use the entrance on the east side of the building. The north entrance will be closed through the duration of the construction project, which is expected to be complete in September.
Beginning July 1, court visitors are encouraged to enter the court without bags or purses because they will be subject to search by security officers. When the project is complete, court visitors will pass through an x-ray machine and metal detector monitored by the officers.
Residents can pay Municipal Court tickets online to avoid visiting the court during construction. The payment process is available at CityofMHK.com/CourtPayment. A dropbox is also located outside the courthouse for drop-off payments.
