**FLOODING UPDATE**
3:00 p.m. 5/8/2019
Waters in Wildcat Creek have started to recede after reaching a peak of 20.1 feet around noon today.

Mild flooding on the Kansas River is still expected through the next few days and the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning that will remain in effect until Saturday.

Additional rain is in the forecast for our area and City Officials will be keeping a close eye on water levels in all local waterways.

Anneberg Park has been reopened but sections of Linear Trail will remain closed. S. Manhattan, Moehlman, Poliska, and Wildcat Creek Road were closed today. Some roadways may be reopened this afternoon. Do not drive through flooded roadways. A small amount of moving water can sweep a vehicle off the road and the roadway underneath may be washed out.
