City Mask Ordinance extended to December 31

Manhattan City Commissioners voted 3 to 2 to extend the ordinance requiring masks or other face coverings in city limits at their meeting on Tuesday, September 2. The mask ordinance will remain in effect until December 31.

The Riley County Police Department (RCOD) will continue to field complaints of ordinance violations by email at masks@rileycountypolice.org. Do not call 911 to report a violation of the ordinance.

The City discourages residents and business owners from getting into arguments with individuals or businesses that do not comply with the ordinance. Instead, please model best behavior of helping to protect your health and fellow residents’ health by wearing a mask.
