The City of Manhattan has partnered with BikeWalkMHK, to create the Little Apple Loop. The Little Apple Loop is a 22.5 mile loop around Manhattan, connecting all neighborhoods via 11 existing trails, bike lanes, bike blvds, local roads, and a few key sidewalks.
The hope is the Little Apple Loop can serve as a fill-in until the Linear Trail loop is completed. Small signs will be placed along the route with arrows to help guide people walking and biking. Look carefully though, as the small signs have been sparingly placed to be discrete.
BikeWalkMHK volunteers will be installing signs through the end of March, with a planned opening on April 1st, 2021. We hope the Little Apple Loop encourages you to explore new parts of Manhattan, and see how fun and safe our community is to get around on foot and bike.
