How do I request a street light for my neighborhood?: The placement of street lights is defined in the street light resolution which is approved by the City Commission. The street light resolution requires a street light at every intersection of public roadways. A street light MAY be installed at the end of a cul-de-sac. A street light MAY be installed a location near the mid-point of a block exceeding 600 feet in length. Street lights are owned and maintained by Evergy. 4. What do I do if I see a stop or yield sign missing?: These are considered to be events requiring a response by city crews in a timely manner. Call the traffic operations center at 785-587-4541. You can also make a signage request online using the Report it! app.

5. I'm having a garage sale, wedding reception, party or meeting in my home. Can I cover the No Parking signs temporarily?: No, you may not cover the No Parking signs in your neighborhood. Parking restrictions are established by ordinance and cannot be modified without amending the ordinance.
