  3. Arts and Humanities Advisory Board Meeting

    The purpose of the Arts and Humanities Advisory Board is to promote and support arts and humanities in the City of Manhattan, as follows: To annually review the Capital Improvement Program (“CIP”) to make recommendations to incorporate arts and humanities elements into the CIP projects, as the advisory board deems appropriate. To provide an annual report and plan to the City Commission on arts and humanities opportunities in the City, to include recommended activities, programs, projects, and collaborations. To research and recommend fundraising and grant opportunities. To assist with developing City guidelines related to the selection and placement of public art and other displays, performances, exhibitions and similar arts and humanities activities. To make reports and recommendations to the governing body on all matters referred to it by the governing body.

  7. Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee

    June 21, 2019, 9:00 AM @ City Commission Room, City Hall

    Advise the Bicycle Coordinator and City Staff as to the determination of bicycle routes and help to establish project priorities. Plan, develop, promote, and coordinate community cycling activities, including, but not limited to, recurring organized rides, special event rides, bicycle safety education workshops, bicycle rodeos and other social gatherings, and designated Ride to Work or Ride to School Days. Develop goals and work plans regarding activities of the committee. Review proposals from individual associations or other institutions for joint programs and assist in effective coordination of such activities, when applicable. Conduct fundraising for cycling activities and programs.

Special Event Permits

  1. Third Thursdays

    June 20, 2019, 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM

    A special event permit has been issued to Morgan Biles for Third Thursday Series happening monthly from May 16, 2019 through September 19, 2019. The events will be located on sidewalks downtown along Poynt Ave. The permit is valid beginning at 2:00 pm and will expire at 8:00 pm for each occurance.
